Obituary of Charles G. Davis

Charles G. Davis of Blue Bell, Pa., passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Einstein Montgomery Medical Center in East Norriton, Pa. He was 73. Born in Norristown, Pa. on September 29, 1941, he was a son of the late Charles and Frances (Gambone) Davis. He was the owner and operator of his Construction Business of Conshohocken, Pa. for many years, just recently retiring. He also was the owner of the former Oyster House of Conshohocken, Pa. He was the loving husband of almost 57 years of Joan (Clapsaddle) Davis. Born and raised in Conshohocken, Pa., he had been residing in Blue Bell, Pa., for the past 43 years He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially enjoyed their involvement with the Thoroughbred and Quarter horses that he owned. Including his wife, he is surived by son, George C. (Karen) Davis; sister, Joan Gentry; grandson, George C. Davis, Jr.; and great grandchildren, Georgia, Charles R. and Laila Davis. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Davis, and one granddaughter, Colena Davis. The Funeral Mass for Charles will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church, 3050 Walton & Township line Road, Plymouth Meeting, Pa. Friends may call on Tuesday evening, March 3, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, March 4, 2015 from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Moore, Snear & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 300 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, Pa. Interment will be held at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
